After experiencing racism and sexism in person first hand—both directly as a clinician and indirectly as a witness to patients’ care in medicine—Dr. Safo designed the advocacy efforts of Just Equity for Health to ensure that Black, Indigenous, and people of color healthcare workers and patients are cared for, protected, and uplifted in medicine.

JEH is committed to the protection of patients and healthcare staff and to that end, engages in ongoing advocacy efforts. Many of these efforts are strengthened by numbers. We encourage you to join our mailing list to stay abreast of what we’re doing; follow us on social media, and check back here to see how you can continue to help.
